CDMA Module Overview
The simulation of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) systems is a feature of SEAMCAT-3.
The SEAMCAT CDMA module on-line manual is split in different entities:
- The CDMA simulation can be parametrised using the CDMA system dialog window.
- The CDMA Network (i.e. fully loaded system, two tiers of neighbouring cells etc...) is described in CDMA Simulation Engine.
- The mapping between Link Level and Network Level simulation is described in Library: CDMA Link Level Data Sets.
- The general principles of modelling the CDMA systems is described in CDMA simulation algorithms.
- The CDMA input parameters for SEAMCAT workspace are desrcibed in CDMA Input Parameters.
- The CDMA output results from SEAMCAT simulations are desrcibed in CDMA Output Results.
Note: It should be noted that the term "CDMA" is used in this documentation and in SEAMCAT environment in general to refer to any radio technology that employs the Code Division Multiple Access modulation scheme. The specific CDMA standard (e.g. CDMA2000-1X, or W-CDMA/UMTS) can be selected by incorporating the appropriate link level curves into the simulation scenario. Furthermore, at present, only the interference impact of/on "voice" can be studied using SEAMCAT.
